===== Overview ===== On the desktop you can place the normal objects, such as App icons, Widgets and Shortcuts. LL also supports Folders, and a concept called Panels. ===== App icons ===== There are two ways to place App icons on the desktop. **Method 1** - Long press the desired position on the desktop and choose "Add item...". - Then select "App" from the list. This opens the App drawer, which is searchable. Pressing an App icon places it on the desktop in the chosen position. **Method 2** - Open the App drawer, long press an App icon, and choose "Add to desktop". This will place the App icon on the first available position on the desktop. Add to desktop can also be used in (1), and for multiple apps. ===== Widgets ===== Unlike App icons, there is only one way to place widgets on the desktop. - Long press the desired position on the desktop and choose "Add item...". - Then select "Widget" from the list. This opens up another list of all of your widgets. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, you cannot see what the widget will look like before you add it to the desktop but the list will tell you the name of the widget and how big it is (e.g. 2x4). The list of widgets may take a few moments to load, depending on how many widgets you have. - Select your desired widget and it will be placed on the first available position on the desktop. ===== Shortcuts ===== There is also only one way to place shortcuts on the desktop: - Long press the desired position on the desktop and choose "Add item...". - Then select "Shortcut" from the list. This opens up another list of all of your shortcuts. The list of shortcuts may take a few moments to load, depending on how many apps you have and whether lots of them have shortcuts. - Select your desired shortcut and it will be placed on the desired position on the desktop.
