Lightning Launcher can receive additional permissions through the installation of these packages. This can be used to allow great features such as calendar, notifications, weather widgets, etc.
- On Android 6, you may have to manually turn on the permission after it has been installed. Long tap on the Lightning Launcher app, select «App info», then tap on «Permissions».
- Very important: repeat the previous step for the permission package you installed. If the permission is not granted for the permission package, Lightning Launcher will not benefit from it neither.
- some of these permissions can possibly open security holes. For instance the internet permission may allow a script to send over the Internet the content of the text found in some email widget. More permissions are needed to allow great features, you just need to check that you don't install scripts blindly from unknown sources without checking their content first.
